Video content is KING in the digital space. Danielle Ricks Productions specializes in Social Media with and emphasis on video production. The company is a small boutique business made up of a team of freelancers that provide exceptional media support and recognize the need and importance of video content. As the owner of the company I “live” on-line and I am very active in social networking, content development, blogging and podcasting.
I know that how we view, engage, inform and entertain ourselves on-line is ever evolving. More and more, programming is being determined by the consumer and businesses who want to hit a specific target audience. IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), a digital television service over an Internet network infrastructure, along with the many free, live, video streaming services such as UStream, make video content invaluable in the Social Media space.
Digital platforms allow a company, corporation, or video community to create their own broadcast channels from a computer or mobile phone devise. IPTV allows views to create their own channels and watch thousands of on-line shows from News to Entertainment. This flexibility has allowed people to take “programming” into their own hands for their entertainment purposes or to reach a global audience.
Having said that, I always recommend that clients invest in video production as part of their marketing, branding, or Social Media campaign. Here’s a link to a video I produced for the Mason Institute of Maryland, Inc. to recruit and raise awareness about the field of masonry. Using this video in a Social Media campaign will help get the message to students, parents and school guidance counselors in a way that could not be done before. Meeting the students where they live, the video is available via the web on the GearShift TV website, MySpace, Facebook and YouTube.
